Trust & your document

Built for the moment before you sign.

Most people sign the biggest documents of their lives — leases, job offers, severance, wills — without anyone ever explaining what's in them. Not because they don't care, but because the explanation costs hundreds of dollars an hour. LegalDraft exists to close that gap: a careful, clause-by-clause read, in plain English, for the price of a dinner — with a licensed attorney easy to bring in when you want one.

What happens to your document

It's encrypted the whole way — in transit and at rest. Your document is processed for one purpose: generating your report.

It is never used to train AI. Your lease, your offer, your will — they stay yours. They don't become anyone's training data.

The database is locked to the application alone. No public access path exists to stored documents; every document is retrieved only by its own unguessable link — the one shown to you when your report is ready.

No subscription, no auto-renewal. One-time pricing. There is nothing to remember to cancel.

What we are — and what we're not

LegalDraft is self-help software, built by LegalDraft Technologies LLC. It reads your document the way a careful professional would — every clause, nothing skimmed — and explains what it finds in words you don’t need a law degree to understand.

We are not a law firm, and we won’t pretend to be one. The reports are automated analysis — what a clause says and does, what’s unusual, possible risks, and possible alternative wording. The software proposes; it never decides for you. Every change is yours to accept, reject, or take to a licensed attorney. That line matters, and we hold it even when softer marketing would sell better.

When a document carries real stakes, the report says so plainly and recommends an independent licensed attorney. Think of it the way tax software changed taxes: the process got simpler, more human, and easier to understand — and a licensed professional is available for the moments that deserve one. Attorney review is offered separately, by independent licensed attorneys under their own engagement terms.

How the engine earns it

Every draft gets attacked before you see it. The Opposing Counsel Pass™ makes the engine switch sides and argue against its own work — every weakness it lands becomes a finding you can act on.

State law is cited, not guessed. Where your state has a hard rule — security-deposit limits, signing formalities, interest caps — the platform carries that rule as verified reference data and cites the statute. Where it isn't certain, it says nothing rather than inventing something.

If a report can't be completed, you aren't charged. An incomplete review is a failure we absorb, not one we bill.

LegalDraft is self-help legal document software. LegalDraft is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not decide what legal action you should take. AI-generated summaries, flags, and suggested questions are informational only. Communications with LegalDraft are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
